What does the PDF to Markdown converter produce?

A plain .md file with the document's text reorganised into Markdown structure: headings become #-prefixed titles, bullet points become lists, and paragraphs stay readable plain text. It is ideal for wikis, static-site generators, documentation and feeding documents to AI tools.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Markdown conversion reads the text layer of the PDF. If your document is a scan with no selectable text, run it through our OCR PDF tool first to add a text layer, then convert the result to Markdown.

Are tables and images converted?

The converter focuses on textual structure — headings, paragraphs and lists. Complex tables and embedded images are not reproduced; for tabular data try PDF to Excel or PDF to CSV instead.

Is my file kept on your servers?
