How to convert an Outlook email to PDF
1. In new Outlook or Outlook on the web, open the email, choose the ⋯ menu and Save as (or drag the email to your desktop) to get an .eml file.
2. In classic Outlook for Windows: File → Save As → Save as type “Outlook Message Format” is .msg, so instead drag the email to a folder to save it as .eml.
3. Upload the .eml file here and convert it to a PDF with the sender, subject, date and body intact.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Outlook save .msg instead of .eml?
Classic Outlook's Save As uses .msg. The simplest way to get an .eml is to drag the email out of Outlook onto your desktop or a folder — that saves a standard .eml this tool accepts.
Does this work with Outlook.com and the new Outlook app?
Yes. Outlook on the web and the new Outlook let you save or drag a message as .eml, which converts here just like any other email.
Is it free and private?
Yes — free, no signup, no watermark, and your email is deleted within one hour of processing.
