How to split a PDF by text
1. Upload the PDF you want to split (for example a stack of scanned invoices merged into one file).
2. Type the word or phrase that marks the start of each new document — such as “Invoice” or a customer field.
3. Split, and download one PDF for each place that phrase appears, bundled as a ZIP.

Does the PDF need selectable text?
Yes — the phrase has to be real, selectable text. If your PDF is a scan with no text layer, run OCR PDF first to make it searchable, then split by text.
